Founder of Scientific Analog to Give Tutorial on Silicon Photonics Modeling at 2020 IEEE Asian Solid-State Circuits Conference

Scientific Analog, Inc. is pleased to announce that Jaeha Kim, CEO, and Founder of Scientific Analog will be giving a tutorial titled, "Introduction to Silicon Photonics Systems and Their Modeling," at the 2020 IEEE Asian Solid-State Circuits Conference (A-SSCC) held during November 9-11, 2020. Dr. Jaeha Kim will be addressing the basic principles and building blocks of silicon photonics systems and showing how to model a complex system integrating photonics, analog, and digital circuits all in SystemVerilog, using the newly-added primitives of XMODEL.

"Silicon photonics is a fast-emerging field with lots of exciting new opportunities. I hope this tutorial will pave a systematic path to designing a high-performance silicon photonics system, " said Jaeha Kim, CEO, and founder of Scientific Analog.

Scientific Analog, Inc. is a leading developer and provider of a mixed-signal simulator in SystemVerilog (XMODEL), automatic model generator (MODELZEN), and schematic-based design environment (GLISTER). A-SSCC is an international forum supported by the Solid-State Circuits Society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), hosting the state-of-the-art integrated circuit designs both from academia and industry. Further information about this event can be found from its official website: http://www.a-sscc2020.org. Due to COVID-19, this year's event will be hosted virtually.
